It's not clear to me whether your bet would require the life to be organic, or if inorganic artificial life would suffice. I think the real difficulty with this and other bets is that a good definition of life is pretty elusive. Some definitions would include fire, others might exclude the mule. At the end of 10 years, almost surely there will have been some creation which will fall into a gray area leaving the bet unresolved.
